The Art of Layering Skin Serums with essano, New Zealand Number 1 Natural Skincare brand

Stepping in the world of serums can be overwhelming and confusing when you are new to skincare. If you are unsure which serums to add into your beauty routine or the sequence of using the various skincare products, let us guide you on your skincare journey.
What are essano serums and why should I use them?
essano concentrated serums were developed to deliver tailored skincare solutions to meet individual needs and skin concerns. Designed to penetrate deep into the lower level of the skin, these serums complement your moisturizer – allowing the skin to benefit from their active ingredients.
Each product has been crafted with a high concentration of active ingredients that target specific skin concerns and provide rapid results. If your skin concerns start to change over time, you can swap one serum with another for your skincare routine to better suit your skin. You can also use more than one essano concentrate at a time, alongside with your other favourite essano products.

What type of serums should I use and how can I layer the serums?
Many ingredient-focused serums will have limitations with layering – for example, Vitamin C and Niacinamide with other brands are likely not compatible. You do not need to worry about that with essano Concentrated Serums – it is specially formulated to be used for pairing different serums.
Always begin with a lightweight serum and save the thicker serums for later use. Ensure your skin absorbs the serum with the smaller molecules first (Hyaluronic Acid and Eye Perfect Peptide Concentrated Serum), followed by a slightly heavier serum (Vitamin C Concentrated Serum) and lastly, a light oil base serum (Natural Retinol Concentrated Serum).
However, avoid using too many serums at once; this is because they have the potential to interact with each other, irritate the skin or cause breakouts due to the combinations of active ingredients. It is best not to use more than two or three concentrated serums at once.

Hyaluronic Acid Concentrated Serum (For Dry/ Dehydrated Skin)
Best applied straight after facial toner. If choosing to layer serums, then use this serum directly prior to using any other essano concentrated serums. This serum has been crafted using penetration enhancers to deliver nutrients to the skin first.

Eye Perfect Peptide Concentrated Serum (For Dark Circles)
You do not need to use another eye crème when using this serum. Instead, just apply this to your outer eye area after using your chosen facial serum. Apply before your AM/PM facial moisturiser.

Vitamin C Concentrated Serum (For Dull Skin)
A slightly heavier serum, full of antioxidants, this concentrated serum should be applied after Intense Hydration, but before Wrinkle Rescue. This high-quality formula has been crafted to be pH-balanced – this means it will not react with other serums. The result: the perfect, worry-free Vitamin C.

Natural Retinol Concentrated Serum (For Fine Lines/Wrinkles)
For best results, apply and then wait 5 minutes before applying your night crème. Use last after lighter serums.
